Steph Bianco
Steph (she/her) is an artist and first generation graphic design student at PSU. Some of her core values are curiosity, community, and authenticity. Steph is both privileged and marginalized. Her identity will naturally influence her art and how she solves problems. However, she does not wish to be limited to labels as an artist or human being. After losing her Dad in 2019, Steph started unpacking generational and family trauma. This poster is about her mother wound. Steph has never been loved the way she needed to be by her mother. She wonders if a gesture such as receiving oranges for good fortune is her mother’s love language. Steph has created her own fortune by building healthy relationships and creating a chosen family. Today Steph continues to work towards reclaiming her wounds. She hopes that this piece can be a reminder that we are all capable of growing from our experiences and we are all worth being loved.
All proceeds from this poster will go directly House Lives Matter.
