Emily Mistell has been bartending & managing for the last 18 years. She got an early start in the service industry, born to parents who owned bakeries in Portland, Oregon, and travelled Europe as competitive bakers. Emily’s career has taken her everywhere from Ava Gene’s and Expatriate to the Sandy Hut, and her work as bar manager at Portland’s Rum Club helped it become one of Esquire Magazine’s “Best Bars in America.” Most recently her bar Hey Love, was nominated Top Ten Hotel bars in America by Tales of the Cocktail.
Emily opened Hey Love in 2018 to be an unpretentious place that has something for everyone and is, first and foremost, fun. She’s passionate about healthy hospitality and creating a work environment where people can flourish.
Emily is very into her dog and cat and long languid home cooking projects.
